Por estos días una modelo de Liverpool está en todas las paginas de moda y redes sociales, y aunque cueste creerlo, no se trata de la famosa modelo británica Kate Moss sino de Denise Ohnona, cuya profesión, oficialmente, es ser doble oficial de la exitosa Top Model que nos deslumbró en las campañas de Calvin Klein durante la década de los 90. A pesar que hoy, Kate Moss está un tanto retirada de las pasarelas y sólo se le ha visto en contadas apariciones públicas. Se podría pensar que le ha cedido el trono a su doble.

Ohnona trabaja oficialmente para la agencia de talentos Scarlett Entertainment, que en su staff de dobles cuentan con las Spice Girls, ABBA, Elvis, entre otros y su labor principal es entretener al público en importantes eventos privados y glamorosas fiestas, además de desfiles de moda y campañas publicitarias.

Desde Reino Unido, la modelo de Liverpool nos brindó una Entrevista Exclusiva para Infogate.cl, para conocer un poco más a la celebridad más famosa del momento y que oficialmente se define en sus redes sociales que ella «No es Kate Moss». ( iamnotkatemoss).

¿Cuándo fue la primera vez que alguien mencionó tu parecido con Kate Moss?

Cuando tenía 14 años, un amigo me dijo que me parecía a Kate Moss y después de eso la gente empezó a decirlo cada vez más pero cuando tenía 18 años tuve un accidente automovilístico que básicamente destruyó mi rostro con feas cicatrices.

¿Y para entonces, sabías quién era Kate Moss?

Cuando era más joven y me decían que me parecía a Kate, en ese ese entonces no teníamos Internet, Google, smartphones, etc. No podía permitirme comprar revistas y nunca supe quién era ella. No recuerdo exactamente cuándo vi a Kate por primera vez, pero sí sé que cuando lo hice, me sorprendió que la gente dijera que me parecía a ella porque era tan tan hermosa que nunca me consideré nada parecido a esa belleza. Mientras crecía, no me gustaba mucho mi apariencia, me sentía diferente con los ojos muy separados, a veces la gente se burlaba de mi apariencia. Miro a mi hija menor Anais y ella tiene exactamente mis mismos ojos, pómulos, cara en forma de corazón, todo y la considero muy hermosa.

¿Cómo es un día normal en tu vida? ¿Es tan glamorosa como la vida de una supermodelo?

Mi vida no podría estar más lejos del glamour, pero es una vida que realmente disfruto. Me gustan las cosas sencillas como la jardinería o el cultivo de alimentos, y una gran parte de mi vida es el fitness y el gimnasio. A medida que pasan los años, me cuido más. Mis dos hijas Elise y Anais son mi mundo y me encanta estar en casa pasando tiempo con mis hijas. Podría decir que vivo dos vidas, una muy simple pero feliz como Denise y otra en la que nunca sé dónde voy a estar o qué voy a hacer… ya que podría recibir una llamada telefónica diciendo que te necesitamos. ¿París mañana por la mañana? ¿Puedes venir? Puede ser un trabajo muy duro y agotador, pero no lo cambiaría. Me encantan los desafíos de la vida, viajar y conocer gente de todas partes. Realmente disfruto que otros me peinen, y me maquillen porque cada vez aparecen nuevos looks que nunca elegiría por mi cuenta. Me siento muy bendecida de poder hacer eso.

¿Qué opinan tus hijas sobre tu fama?

Mi hija mayor no me ve más que como su madre Denise, no sigue mi trabajo ni mis noticias, etc., pero sus amigos piensan que es genial. La pequeña Anais ha empezado a llamarse «mini Moss» pensando que es gracioso pero le dije que no, no eres mini Moss, eres «mini Mami». Y lo es, se parece a mí.

¿Cómo cambió tu vida ser doble de Kate Moss?

Superé muchos miedos e inseguridades, pasé lo que parece toda una vida reteniéndome, pero afortunadamente un día decidí seguir el consejo, si te asusta, hazlo de todos modos. Me he esforzado por ir más allá de mi zona de confort y sigo haciéndolo. Me tomó mucho tiempo aceptar hacer esto, tenía 37 años cuando hice mi primer trabajo como doble y estaba muy nervioso y ansiosa pero dicho todo esto, viajar es algo que ha cambiado mucho, ya que me encuentro volando por toda Europa para sesiones de fotos y eventos.

¿Cuáles son los beneficios de ser la dopplegänger (doble oficial) de Kate Moss?

He podido hacer cosas que nunca habría podido hacer si no me hubiera unido a la agencia de dobles. He hecho los mejores amigos en todo el mundo, he viajado mucho más de lo que habría hecho sin esto y me he vuelto mucho más fuerte como persona. No apuesto mi vida a esto, siempre ha sido algo que hago de forma secundaria y puede ser muy divertido. Y obtienes mucha ropa gratis ( se ríe).

¿Kate Moss o algún miembro de su staff se ha puesto en contacto contigo para hacer alguna campaña o videos juntas?

Me «encantaría» hacer una sesión de fotos con Kate Moss. Pero desafortunadamente nunca he tenido ningún contacto con Kate o su agencia, estoy seguro de que sería encantadora si nos conociéramos, solo escucho cosas encantadoras sobre ella. Quizás algún día, quién sabe. Simplemente creo que sería genial conocer a tu doble, pero me pregunto si estuviéramos uno al lado del otro, ¿nos pareceríamos tanto? ¡Ojalá un día!

Recientemente, las supermodelos de los 90 están regresando con nuevas campañas de moda y, además, Kate Moss celebró este año su cumpleaños número 50 y su último desfile fue en 2022… ¡Ahora, tu estás en todo el mundo, estás en todos los portales de moda y redes sociales y se te considera más Kate Moss que ella misma! ¿Crees que está cansada de su fama?

¡Me encanta que las supermodelos hayan regresado! Todas son icónicas. Sin embargo, definitivamente no me veo a su nivel en lo más mínimo ( se ríe). Estas mujeres hacen todo que parezca fácil. Creo que Kate todavía luce tan hermosa hoy como hace 30 años. Y ella sigue trabajando, así que no creo que esté harta todavía. ¡Espero ver qué hará próximamente!

En lo profesional, ¿qué esperas para 2024? ¿Alguna campaña internacional en su agenda…? ¿Te gustaría visitar América Latina? ¿Chile por ejemplo?

100% Me encantaría viajar a Latinoamérica, he tenido mucho amor y apoyo desde allá, estaría muy feliz de ir a trabajar. Nunca he estado antes, pero está marcado entre los lugares que me gustaría visitar en el mundo. ¿Y veamos qué nos depara el futuro? ¿Quién sabe?

These days everyone is talking about a model from Liverpool and she is on social media and fashion websites, and although it may be hard to believe, she is not the famous British model Kate Moss but Denise Ohnona, officially is lookalike of successful Top Model who dazzled us in the Calvin Klein campaigns during the 90s. Although today, Kate Moss is just appeared in some public events. One might think that she has ceded to her the throne.

Ohnona officially works for the talent agency Scarlett Entertainment, which has the Spice Girls, ABBA, Elvis and many others. They work entertaining people in private events and glamorous parties, as well as fashion shows and advertising campaigns.

the Liverpool model gave us an Exclusive Interview for Infogate.cl, to get to know a little more about the most famous celebrity of the moment and who officially defines herself «She is Not Kate Moss.» (iamnotkatemoss).

When it was the first time someone mentioned about your resemblance with Kate Moss?

When I was 14 years old, my friend told me you look like Kate Moss and after that people started saying it more and more until a car accident when I was 18 that basically destroyed my face with scars.

Did you know who was Kate Moss? 

When I was younger and told I looked like Kate, we didn’t have internet, google, phones etc…I couldn’t afford to buy magazines and never knew who she was.  I don’t remember exactly when I first saw Kate but I do know when I did I was shocked that people were saying I looked like her because she was so so beautiful I never considered myself anything close to that beauty, I didn’t like my looks growing up, I felt different with very wide set eyes, sometimes people would make fun of my looks.  I look at my youngest daughter anais and she has my exact same eyes, cheekbones, heart shaped face everything and I consider her very beautiful.  

How is a normal day in your life? It is so glamorous as a supermodel’s life? 

My life couldn’t be any further from glamorous but it is a life that I really enjoy.  I like simple things like gardening/growing food and a huge part of my life is fitness and the gym.  As I get older I am actively taking better care of myself.  My two daughters Elise and Anais are my world and I love to be home spending time with my girls.  I could say I live two lives, one very simple but happy life as Denise and another where I never know where I am going to be or what I am going to be doing..as I might get a phone call saying we need you in Paris tomorrow morning? Can you come? So it can be very hard work and tiring but I wouldn’t change it, I love challenges in life and experiencing travel and meeting people all over. I really enjoy being styled by others and hair and makeup because each time it brings out new looks that I would never choose on my own. I am very blessed to be able to do that.

What do you think your daughters about your fame? 

My eldest daughter doesn’t see me as anything other than her mum Denise, she doesn’t follow any of my work or news etc but her friends think it’s cool. The little one Anais she has started calling herself «mini Moss» thinking it’s funny but I told her no you are not mini Moss «you are mini mummy».  Which she is, she looks just like me.  

How it changed your life being Kate Moss lookalike?

I overcame a lot of fears and insecurities, I spent what feels like a lifetime holding me back but luckily one day I decided to take the advice if it scares you do it anyway.  I have pushed myself to step way beyond my comfort zone and continue to do so.  It took me a long time to agree to do this, I was 37 when I did my first job as a lookalike and I was so nervous and anxious about it. but saying all that, the travel is something that has changed a lot, as I find myself flying all over Europe for photoshoots and events. 

What are the benefits to be Kate Moss dopplegänger? 

 I have been able to do things I would never have been able to do had I not joined the lookalike agency.  I have made the best of friends around the world, travelled so much more than I would have done without this and grown much stronger as a person.  I don\t bet my life on this, it has always been something I do as a sideline and it can be so much fun.  And you do get a lot of free clothes ha ha 

Is Kate Moss or some of their staff  contact you to do some campaign or shot together? 

I would absolutely LOVE to do a photoshoot with Kate. But unfortunately I have never had any contact with Kate or her agency,  I am sure she would be lovely if we met, I hear nothing but lovely things about her.  Maybe one day, who knows. I just think it would be cool to meet your doppelgänger, but I wonder if we were side by side would we look that much alike? Hopefully one day! 

Recently, 90’s supermodels are coming back with new campaigns and also, Kate Moss celebrated 50’s birthday and her last runway show was on 2022… Now (worldwide), you are everywhere and you are considered «more Kate Moss than herself»! Do you think, is she tired of her fame? 

I love that the supermodels have made a comeback! They are all iconic. However I definitely do not see myself on their level in the slightest ha ha. Those woman make it look easy. I think Kate still looks as gorgeous today as she did 30 years ago. And she keeps on working so I don’t think she’s sick of it yet. I look forward to see what she does next! 

Professionally, What do you expect for 2024? Any international campaign in your agenda…? Would you like to visit Latin America? Chile for example?

100% I would love to come to Latin American, I have had so much love and support there and I would be so happy to come and work there.  I have never been before but it is up there on my places to go in the world. And let’s see what the future holds? Who knows?
